Defects Per Million, Pale Norse, Midnight Reruns, Platinum Boys

This show was back in the middle of September but better late than never, right?

Actually, for the last week of 2016 I'm going to try and post a lot of the old photos I've had sitting around in my lightroom catalog just waiting to be edited and shown off to the world.. So I'm starting with these shots from a rad show back at Total Drag on the 15th of September!

This was Defects Per Million's first show, too! (Click on smaller images to enlarge)

And some more local rockers by the name of Pale Norse

Midnight Reruns came and played some fun tunes from Milwaukee

And Platinum Boys also from Milwaukee closed out the night!

Look forward to several more posts before the year is over with a bunch of awesome photos from this year and maybe a glimpse into some things I'm planning for the next year..

"Idle Worship and Ill Will Towards Man" the first EP released by locals GREEN ALTAR

Some of my photography has been used again for a killer local band's album cover, and it looks pretty awesome. If you haven't listened to Green Altar before, do your earholes a favor and check 'em out. Sludgy, heavy, melty stoner metal at its finest, locally grown in Sioux Falls, SD. The photo used for the album cover is from my "Cycles of Decay" series focusing on the documentation of the bodies of animals I found and how they went back into the earth once more..

Super Moon

Super Moon

The EP release show was on Nov. 26th, 2016 and some of Green Altar's pals came to help celebrate, like the gnarly dudes in Super Moon out of Omaha, NE who started the night off.

The heaviness continued with Naive Sense from Minneapolis, MN. and it was the fuzzy, in your face, angry punk music that I think we lack so much in Sioux Falls. They killed it.

Naive Sense

And last, but of course, not least, GREEN ALTAR played an incredible, electric show that sent shivers down my spine. The good kind. It was heavy and intense and created an energy in the room that made you want to bow down before the altar....
