“I feel like plenty of photographers are capable of taking client’s dreams or visions and making them a reality; Film Fawn is the only photographer I can think of who can take their subject’s reality and turn it into a dream.”

Before you book a shoot with me…

You should get an idea of what type of photography I do, because it’s definitely not typical. My specialty is creative portraits shot on 35mm, 120 or polaroid film and includes specialized experimental film processes which create dreamy and strange effects. Each photo is completely unique! It’s taken me years to perfect my art, allowing me to create magical photos, capturing these special moments in time while not destroying the film (as these processes can do that if you’re not careful!).  Beyond capturing the photo, I process and scan every roll of film by hand in my kitchen. It’s beautiful, intimate, and a labor of love that I put my entire self into, so that the final photos are truly something special.

I’m not just taking photos, I’m creating pieces of art.

So if you’re looking for some truly magical and unique photos, I can definitely help with that! Not all photos I take need to get so experimental, though, photos shot on film already have a beautiful, dreamy quality to them that really can’t be duplicated on digital. Or even some real polaroid photos may be what you want; the possibilities are truly endless. Before any actual booking happens, I’d love to grab a coffee or something and chat in person, or hop on zoom/a phone call and we can figure out what kind of film and/or experimental processes would work best for your needs!

Pricing

Considering there is so much variation in what I can offer with my work, (what kind of film, experimental processes, polaroids, etc.) I don’t use an hourly rate for my sessions. This is why it’s crucial to have some kind of talk before we actually get something in the books, because we can figure out exactly what you’re wanting and customize the shoot for you.

Following are some base prices to give you an idea of what to expect for a photo session with me. I am always willing to discuss payment plans if you need flexibility but a 50% deposit will be required to secure a date in my books.

  • Portrait session on 35mm/120 film starting at $400

  • Portrait session on 35mm film with film soup/infusion $500

  • Polaroid portrait session starting at $100
